Once I’d done the course I felt confident to be able to just go in and film. Everyone was expecting a big camera BUT you can actually just do it with your iPhone, so even an amateur can just do it. It’s amazing! My favourite part has to be the editing. It’s really good. And now I’m doing videos all the time.

I have a bit of experience of filming but what I got from the course was not only just storytelling but also every decision that you make, everything that you do has to have a reason behind it….The beautiful thing about a video is that if you get it wrong you can just edit it. It’s not just one take. You can have multiple opportunities to deliver the same message and so you can get it perfect. You don’t need big cameras. You don’t need expensive equipment all you need is your iPhone. I love it! I love making videos!

I had no idea where to start when it came to editing a video. I just didn’t think I could do it. (After the course) I just couldn’t stop playing with the new skills I’d learned. I found myself standing in a paddock with another vet interviewing them, and all of sudden I’m aware of all these things, like, “oh my goodness, there’s a plane flying overhead that’s going to ruin my video. Right! Take Two!” I feel like my own little Steven Spielberg. The thing I’ve loved most is that I never thought I’d be able to do it. I’m actually quite a technophobe. I’m pretty rubbish with most technology and since I’ve learned that there is something out there that even I can use that people can’t tell aren’t professional is really amazing.
